Worcester – Maria Amado, 83, died peacefully with family by her side on Friday June 13th in the Saint Francis Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Maria was born in Colombia and is survived by her daughter, Franquelina Angulo and her significant other, John Iovaine of Leicester. She worked for many years in the Worcester area holding several positions at local factories, nursing homes and housekeeping jobs to support her family.
Maria enjoyed many things throughout her lifetime, however, her most enjoyable things to do was spending time with friends and collecting various photographs. She loved flowers, especially geraniums.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 21st at 10 AM in the Cathedral of St. Paul 38 High Street. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sherry’s House c/o Why Me Inc. 1162 Pleasant St. Worcester, MA 01602.
