Roland W. Vidito, “Ron” age 66, a resident of Wilmington for many years passed away peacefully, June 15th, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a lengthy illness. Born in Stoneham, Roland was one of five children born to the late Walter R. and Ruth E. (Kent) Vidito.
Ron was raised and educated in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School with the class of 1964. Following high school, Roland attended the Bryant & Stratton Business College in Boston where he received his associate’s degree. Roland was most recently employed at Raytheon where he worked as a test engineer and was well liked by many of his coworkers. Roland enjoyed the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting, and going to flea markets looking for great bargains. He was a member of the Andover Sportsman’s Club and was a proud member of the NRA.
Ron is survived by his siblings; Linda fisher and her husband Louis of PA, Charlene Blanchard of Groton, Janet O'Keefe of Dracut, William Vidito and Sandy Vidito of Milford, NH. He was the loving uncle of William Vidito Jr., Sarah Vidito, Renee Vidito, Tina Blanchard and her husband Douglas Pugsley, Matthew Blanchard and his wife Lisa, Edward O'Keefe and his wife.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington, on Thursday, June 19th; from 4 thru 8 p.m. Interment services will be private. Contributions may be made in Ron’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 0170.
