MILLBURY-John L. Jacobson, 60 of 2 Matson Lane died Monday, March 25th in UMass Memorial Healthcare-Memorial Campus after an illness. He leaves his wife of 35 years, JoAnne (Ivaska) Jacobson; 2 daughters, Alanna A. Jacobson of Flagler Beach, FL, Elizabeth V. Miner of Worcester and a granddaughter, Lacy Miner of Worcester.
He was born in Worcester the son of Louis J. and Helen A. (Arlauskas) Jacobson and has lived in Millbury for many years. He graduated from South High School and American International College in Springfield. Mr. Jacobson was an auditor the Defense Department for 31 years retiring in 1994. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, a former board member of Camp Fire Girls and a former co-chairmen of the Millbury Finance Committee.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 27th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street, Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours areTuesday, March 26th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
