Obituary

Adams, Donna Jean, of Marshfield, passed away on June 13 after her year-long stand against pancreatic cancer, which she faced with courage and dignity. She is survived by her husband Randolph M. Adams; Brother, Edward Craddock and wife Jennifer; Children, Douglas Rader and wife Jennifer, Lynda Haynes and husband Bob and Cynthia Rader; Step-Children, Jeffrey Adams and wife Carol, David Adams and wife Grace, Leslie Greeley and fiancé Jay and Wendy Coleman and husband Chris; Thirteen Grandchildren, Matt Rader, Molly Rader, Amelia Haynes, Nicole Adams, Drew Adams, Joe Greeley, Emily Greeley, Allison Coleman, Amanda Coleman, Grace Coleman, Peter Coleman, Jeffrey Adams, and Emerson Adams.
Donna was a retired Registered Nurse who worked in the operating room at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston for over 30 years. She earned her RN degree at Massachusetts General Hospital and later returned to school and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing Emmanuel College and a bachelor’s of arts at Harvard University. Donna was known for her many passions; her devotion to her large family, her love of sailing, snow skiing, traveling, hiking, book clubs and gardening. She was also dedicated to helping others - She was the founder of the ESL (English as a second language) program in Marshfield. She served on the Board of Directors and as an intake counselor at Sowing Seeds. Donna was also very active at Trinity Episcopal Church including serving on the alter guild.
Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Wednesday, June 18 from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 229 Highland St., Marshfield Hills on Thursday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m.
