Obituary

VENTURA
Helen Mary Rojo, of Ventura went to be with Our Lord June 13, 2014.

Helen was a native Venturan, attending Holy Cross School. While raising children Helen worked many jobs, having work at Saticoy Lemon packing house, Ventura Unified School district and Semtech Corp. She was able to realize her dream of opening a restaurant in 1983 named Tony's Burrito Hut and retired after 31 years of business.

She enjoyed visiting Chumash Casino, watching daytime soaps, and spending time with her family.

During the last few years Helen was a contributor to the Tortilla Flats Project.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband Jesse Rojo, parents, Nicholas and Mary Garcia, and her brother Lawrence Garcia.

Helen is survived by her Rose Riekki, Gloria Boogren, Rachel Bushnell, Ronald Rojo, and Anthony Rojo; brother Robert and wife Gloria Garcia of San Luis Obispo; 7 grand children Richard Wilson, Tammy Wilson, Brian Bushnell, Tricia Bushnell, Alysia Pardo, Marisa Rojo, and Richard Duarte. Helen was able to enjoy time with her three great grandchildren Donovan Bushnell, Aubrey Bushnell and Stella Arcila.

Family and Friends are invited to visit JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME 757 E. Main Street Ventura on June 18, 2014 at 6pm where a Rosary to be recited at 7PM. Funeral Mass celebrated Thursday June 19, 2014 at 10AM in San Buenaventura Mission followed by interment in Ivy Lawn Cemetery, Ventura.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Assisted Home Hospice organization for the remarkable support during Helen's final days and a special thank you to family friend Joe Ryba Funeral Director of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME.
