Obituary

FRAMINGHAM: Robert William “Bob” Lupien, 87, died on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in the family residence on Rice Road in Wayland on October 13, 1926 the son of the late Alphonse Lupien and Ellen (McSweeney) Lupien.
Bob was the beloved husband of the late Ruth Carolyn (Wenzel) Lupien who died on February 6, 2005. He was the devoted and loving father of Barbara A. Crutchley and her husband Wilbur of Bonita Springs, FL; Robert M. Lupien and his wife Janice of Hooksett, NH the late Peter A. Lupien. Father-in-law of Anne Lupien of Litchfield, NH. Brother of Dorothy DesChamps of Ashland; Thomas Lupien of Cochituate and the late John Lupien, Patricia Leary, Dennis Lupien and James Lupien. Brother-in-law of Dorothy Lupien of Natick. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and his longtime friend Charles “Mickey” McNeill who was like a son to Bob.
Bob has been a resident of Framingham for the past 59 years and previously resided in Cochituate. He spent his formative years in Cochituate and was a member of Wayland High School Class of 1943. Bob served his country proudly during World War II with the United States Marines as a Private First Class. He had a long and successful career as an installer in the oil, heating and air conditioning field and began with Diehls in Wellesley and retired after over 30 years of dedicated service with Coan Oil Co. in Natick.
Bob enjoyed gardening at his residence in Framingham and loved to spend time poking around the “outdoor store”. He was a loving and devoted husband and father to his family and enjoyed time spent with them.
Private family graveside services will be held at the family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate. A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a place and date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers his family suggests that memorial gifts in his memory may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
