Edna Sophia (Foertsch) Hessig, 98, passed away June 11, 2014.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and had retired from the old Stewarts Dept. Store.
She is preceded in death by her parents Margaretha Johanna Wittman and John F. Foertsch and husband Ernest C. Hessig; brothers Adolph, Oscar, Victor, and Walter Foertsch.
She is survived by her daughter Shirley Y. Schneider; two grandchildren Vicki Serrano and Brad Schneider; five great-grandchildren Jason, Joseph, Sherry, Joslyn and Emily; four great-great grandchildren Jason, Matthew, Haley and Cecelia.
Funeral service will be at Monday 1 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West).
Visitation will be Sunday 1 P.M. until 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
