Phyllis McCrimmon Dixon, 60, of Dawson, formerly of Fitzgerald, died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at her residence in Dawson.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, June 14, 2014, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. David Barton officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Dixon was born July 14, 1953, in Telfair County, Georgia, to the late William Thomas and Nellie Frances Raby McCrimmon. She lived in the community most of her life and was a homemaker. She was also a machine operator for Shaw Industries in Fitzgerald and was of the Christian faith.
She is survived by a son: Stephen Dixon, USMC of Fallbrook, California; a daughter: Tina Dixon Daniels & Damon of Ben Hill County; grandchildren: Joseph Dixon, Jr., Kristina Dixon, Foster Dixon, Maggie Scarborough, Montana Dixon, Mason Dixon, Maleah Robinson, and Maddox Daniels; brothers: James McCrimmon of Fitzgerald, Charles McCrimmon of Palatka, Florida, William & Susan McCrimmon of Alma, Johnny McCrimmon of Brookfield and Jessie & Kelli McCrimmon of Ocilla; sisters: Mary & Bob Clower of Fitzgerald and Nellie & Charles Lott of Ocilla; and her companion: Clarence White of Dawson. Several nieces and nephews also survive including: Warren Dunbar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Lee Everett Dixon and a son: Joseph Perry Dixon.
