Bill Inglett
Evans, GA – Wilfred Lee Inglett, Jr., beloved husband of Barbara B. Inglett entered into rest on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.
Bill, a native Augustan was born on November 30, 1934 to Wilfred and Elizabeth Crouch Inglett. In addition to his wife, Bobbie, he is survived by a daughter: Pamela Inglett Bothwell and husband Jay of Washington, D.C.; son: W. Lee Inglett, III and wife Julie of Augusta; granddaughters: Alexis and Anna Lee Inglett of Augusta; sisters: Betty Inglett, Carol Evans , Joanne Craft and husband Vernon; brothers: Terry Inglett, Ronald Inglett and wife Donna Lee
After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1959, Bill came back to Augusta to work for Inglett & Company, a packaging equipment manufacturer and the company that his father founded. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta and the Crusaders Sunday School class. He served in numerous capacities, as a deacon, trustee, Sunday School Superintendent and on a number of Committees. He was a member of the Exchange Club of Augusta and the Augusta Country Club.
In 1998 Bill and Bobbie retired and moved to Fripp Island, SC where they spent nine wonderful years. While there he served as a commissioner on the Public Service District and as a member of the Fripp Island Advisory Board. Because of health issues they returned to Augusta in 2007.
A memorial service will be Friday, June 13, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Storey Chapel of First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the vestibule of Storey Chapel beginning at 10:00 A.M.
