TAUNTON – Evelyn M. (Santos) Abreau of Taunton, wife of the late George Abreau, Jr., died at Longmeadow of Taunton on June 6, 2014.
She was 89.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late William and Helena (Vincent) Santos.
Raised and educated in Taunton, Mrs. Abreau was a homemaker for most of her adult life.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and enjoyed cooking, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, George Abreau, III and his wife Mary of Raynham; four grandchildren, Laurie Barlow and her husband Michael of Lakeville, Robert Abreau and his wife Mary of Lakeville, Michaela Stone and her husband Robert of Texas, and Heather Coelho of Taunton; five great grandchildren, Adam Barlow, Ryan Abreau and Kaitlyn Abreau, all of Lakeville, and Kristine and Nicholas Coelho, both of Taunton; a sister, Eleanor Berube of Taunton; and a niece.
Mrs. Abreau’s funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.
Calling Hours are respectfully omitted.
Burial will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
