Kelly, John L. “Jack” of Marshfield, passed away on June 9, 2014 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Mary (Keaney)Kelly. Loving father of Lauren Kelly of Marshfield and Patrick Kelly of South Boston. Dear brother of Nancy Pollard of Plymouth, Kathy Doherty and her husband Tom of Hopkinton and Maureen Jacobs and her late husband Paul of Marshfield. Son of the late John J. and Florence (Carey) Kelly. Dear brother-in-law of Joan Hayes and her late husband John, Loretta Keaney, Karen Curley and her husband Jack, Joseph Keaney, Ann and Kevin O’Connor and the late Paul Keaney. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Jack was born and raised in Dorchester. He graduated from Don Bosco High School in 1969. Jack was a member of the Local 589 Boston Carmen’s Union. He worked for the MBTA for 32 years, retiring in 2001. Jack moved to Marshfield in 1984.
Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte 139 in Marshfield on Wednesday, June 11 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, June 12 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St. in Marshfield at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be held in Couch Cemetery. Contributions in Jack’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
