Gossman, John Richard “Rick” Sr., 59, passed away Monday June 9, 2014 at Hosparus Downtown.
He was born August 2, 1954 to Joe & Rosie(Russell) Gossman.
He was a 1972 graduate of Bishop David High School and attended Bellarmine College.
He was owner Operator of Gossman Contractors and had served the metropolitan area for 35 years.
Rick was preceded in death by his Parents, a Brother: Ed Gossman, and a Sister-In-Law: Cheri Gossman.
Survivors include his Wife, Tonia (White) Gossman; a Daughter: Suzanne Drury (Keith); a Son: John Richard Gossman Jr. (Heather);
Step Son: Patrick Hawkins; a Step Daughter: Angel Haulman (Mark) and a Step Son Michael Bowes Sr. (Bonnie).
He was loved & adored by his Grandchildren: Shelby, Samantha, & David Drury and John Richard Gossman III and his step-Grandchildren:
Brent Calhoun, Bri & Adam Haulman and Michael & Mirrisa & Marshall Bowes.
Also surviving are his loving siblings: Mart (Brenda), Tom (Debbie), Bob (Sheila) and Don (Susan) and George Gossman;
A Sister: Dot Kinsell (Roger) and many Nieces, Nephews and treasured friends that he adored.
Rick’s family would like to thank his Doctors and staff at U of L Hospital, Brown Cancer Center and Hosparus for their care & support.
Rick continues to give by choosing to donate his body to the U of L School of Medicine.
A Celebration of Rick’s life will be held 6:00 PM Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Memorial Visitation will be Wednesday
3:00 – 6:00 PM. Donations in lieu of flowers to: Brown Cancer Center and Hosparus.
