Raymond Lewis Watrous, 83, of 429 Colonel Ledyard Highway, Ledyard, died Monday, June 2, 2014 at Pendleton Healthcare in Mystic.
A life long resident of Ledyard, he was one of seven children of the Late Nathan and Bessie Watrous. For many years, his family operated a family farm in Ledyard. He was known for his problem solving mechanical prowess and was a well-known accomplished stone wall builder.
His family and friends remember him as being a humble, quiet God-fearing man who was much loved and respected for his character and peaceful disposition.
His family will greet relatives and friends at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic on Friday from 10am to 11:45am with a service immediately following at 12 noon. Burial will follow at the Quakertown Cemetery, Ledyard.
