Clayton George Harrell, 73, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Prospect Cemetery in Ben Hill County with the Rev. Danny Gay officiating.
Mr. Harrell was born December 3, 1940 in Douglas, Georgia, to the late William Henry and Bell Bryant Harrell. He was a former resident of Virginia and worked on electrical and plumbing maintenance. He served in the United States Coast Guard and his favorite past time was fishing.
He is survived by a daughter: Julie Barnes of Fitzgerald; sons: Mark Harrell of North Carolina, Matthew Harrell of Virginia and Joseph Harrell of New Jersey; daughters: Mary Blair of North Carolina and Margaret Ann Harrell of Virginia; grandchildren: Lashanna Simmons and Mark Gabriel Barnes and a sister: Estelle Heath of Douglas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Mike Harrell.
