Gussie Jordan Abrams, 85, of Pinellas Park, Florida, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the home of her niece, Sherry Mallasch, in Fitzgerald following a brief illness.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Abrams was born February 2, 1929, in Fitzgerald, to the late Homer Harvey & Polly Hobby Jordan. She lived most of her life in the St. Petersburg, Florida area. She became ill while visiting family in Fitzgerald a few weeks ago. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed attending Christian Fellowship while here. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Florida.
She is survived by a son: Michael Abrams of Treasure Island, Florida and many nieces and nephews including Sherry & Kenneth Mallasch of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Aaron Abrams; a son: Kenneth Abrams; two sisters: Pearl McGee and Ethel Weaver; and four brothers: Frank Jordan, John Jordan, Bernard Jordan, and Warren Jordan.
