Betty Clark Latham, 79, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Lakeland, Georgia, died Friday, June 6, 2014, at her daughter’s residence in Jacksonville.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Monday, June 9, 2014, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Keith Goodlett officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 on Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Latham was born May 3, 1935 in Wilcox County, Georgia to the late Arnold Britt & Mary Eulala Mullis Clark. She was a CNA with home healthcare having received her training in Valdosta. A longtime member of Lakeland United Methodist Church, Mrs. Latham enjoyed church yard sales and raising money for the Pumpkin Patch mission. She moved to Jacksonville, Florida to live with her daughter three years ago after living in Lakeland for over 50 years.
She is survived by her daughter: Patsy Rollins of Jacksonville, Florida; two granddaughters: Heather & Randy Foshee of Jacksonville, Florida and Hollie Robinson & Jeremiah Cole of Virginia; three great-grandchildren: Gage Robinson, Moses Cole, and Sam Cole as well as two nieces and three nephews. She also leaves behind her faithful peek-a-poo: Molly who will miss her dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Latham; two brothers; and four sisters.
