Carlton VanMarter Hall, 93, of Ty Ty, GA, formerly Ithaca, New York, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ithaca, New York. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Hall residence at 60 Monk Road in Ty Ty.
Mr. Hall was born on August 1, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan and was the son of Fred Hall and Margaret VanMarter Hall, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Fred Hall. He was retired from NCR in Ithaca, New York and was a member of Caroline Valley Federated Church in Brooktondale, New York.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 74 years, Bernice Munch Hall of Ty Ty, formerly Ithaca, New York; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jendy Hall of Ty Ty; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruthann and Peter Brown of Ithaca, New York; four grandchildren, Robert K. Hall of Phoenix, Arizona; Kristi Morgan of Ty Ty; Nicholas Brown of Australia, and Nathaniel Brown of Newfield, New York; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a brother, Orson Ledger of Brooktondale, New York; a sister, Evelyn Watson of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
