In Taunton, June 3, 2014 Russell A. Davis, Age 84, passed away peacefully in Longmeadow Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. Russell was the loving husband of his late wife Jeanne (Allen) Davis. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Arthur & Gladys (Macumber) Davis. Russell attended Taunton schools. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Air Force. Russell was a tool maker and worked at Texas Instruments in Attleboro until his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed scratch tickets, the dog track and spending time with his family. Russell leaves his son Russell G. Davis and his wife Sherri of Taunton. His sister in law Margaret Peg Davis of Taunton. He was preceded in death by his siblings Merrill, Kenneth and Sheldon Davis. He was also the close friend of the late Daniel Nunes. Russell also leaves several nephews. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA on Monday, June 9th at 12 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours prior to his service from 10:30-12 pm. Burial will be in the family lot in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.
