Maxine C. (Israel) Dunn, 88, of Anderson died at her residence from complications of A.L.S.
She was born August 30, 1925 in Nebraska, Indiana to Jesse H. and Hazel (Wolfe) Israel.
She was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church.
She was a Master Gardner. She liked to sew, liked to cook, read and play on her Kindle and into computers as she was a lifelong learner. She ran the food pantry in Chesterfield with her husband. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and went to Alaska, Hawaii and across the U.S. A. She and James went on an African Safari.
She is survived by her husband, James Dunn of Anderson whom she married September 20, 1946 in Anderson; three children, Cathy Orebaugh; Daniel (Cathy) Dunn; Amy (Randal) Saathoff; seven grandchildren: Jayna (Jason) Friend; Jesse (Jennifer) Orebaugh; Steven Dunn; Melissa Dunn; Brent (Tammy) Bramwell; Paul Saathoff and Renee (David) Boerstler; seven great grandchildren: Jesse Friend; Jordyn Friend; Journey Orebaugh; Jonathan Orebaugh; Alexa Bramwell; Allie Bramwell and Victoria Boerstler; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse H. and Hazel (Wolfe) Israel; her son-in-law, Samuel Orebaugh; her brother-in-law, Gilbert York; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Fred (Martha) McClish; mother-in-law, Edith York
Service will be 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Chesterfield Christian Church with Pastor Ned Clark and Pastor Rick Vale officiating. Burial will be in Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 4, 4-8 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
