Catherine Kneut age 65 of Stoughton passed away May 31st at home after a long illness. Born in Clifton Springs, NY, she graduated from Bishop Cassidy High School in Taunton, Boston City Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1971 and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nursing from Boston University School of Nursing and went on to achieve her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Nursing from Simmons College. She was a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Boston Children’s Hospital since 1997. She previously was a Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, an Instructor at Boston University School of Nursing, Clinical Instructor at Boston College School of Nursing and UMass Boston School of Nursing. She was beloved by the staff, patients and families she cared for at Boston Children’s Hospital and will be deeply missed by her many close friends. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking and was always there for her many friends. Beloved daughter of the late Mary and Peter Kneut. Sister of William Kneut and the late Ricky Kneut. She is also survived by her longtime friend Sarah Pasternack of Stoughton. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church Sharon Saturday morning at a 11:00 am. Burial Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Rev.
