Betty J. Ingram Railey, 72, of Tifton died Sunday, June 1, 2014, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Railey was born on July 22, 1941 in Perry County, Kentucky and was the daughter of Marlan Ingram and Bertha Stitams Ingram, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Eddie Railey, who died February 15, 2014. She retired from J. P. Stevens and was a homemaker. She was a member of Tift Avenue Baptist Church.
Mrs. Railey is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James and Ginny Ryan of Tifton; two step-daughters and their spouses, Tammy Graham of Fitzgerald and Pam and David Leverett of Ocilla; two sisters, Joyce Brewer of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Mary Alice Huckleberry of Salem, Indiana; three grandchildren, Latasha Ryan, Samantha Ryan and Jamie Ryan; four step-grandchildren, Allyson Harrison, Cameron Lott, Payton Leverett and Jessica Leverett; and two great-grandchildren, Zoey Brady and Asher Harrison.
