Obituary

Arthur (Pete) Theriault Jr., 79, a lifelong resident of Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday morning May 31, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 3, 1935, the son of Arthur (Pete) Sr. and Evangeline Theriault. Pete graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1953. He married his High School Sweetheart Doris Y. Therrien on June 5, 1954 and together they raised 3 children.

Pete was a member of The Army National Guard, A Battery, St. Anne Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish, the VFW and a Life Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He held numerous jobs locally including Sherwin Williams and most recently Androscoggin Valley Hospital. He was most remembered for owning and operating Western Auto.
Pete’s fondest memories were his many years playing Baseball & Hockey and his summers spent at The Theriault Family Camp on Lake Umbagog. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and Montreal Canadians Fan and enjoyed and attended many Red Sox games with his good buddy, Dick Grondin and numerous Montreal Canadiens games with his good friend, Maurice Levesque.

Pete leaves behind his daughters, Ann Marie and husband Steve Halvorsen, Elaine and son-in-law Raymond Mainguy and his son Jimmy Theriault and wife Missy. His grandchildren, Brian Halvorsen, Mike Mainguy and wife Kim, Candace Cote, Christina Anctil (also Loving Caregiver) & Jesse Theriault. His Great Grandchildren, Dylan, Caelee, Danica, Ava, Makayla, Maxwell, Victoria & Emily.He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Donald and his Beloved Wife Doris.

Donations in Pete’s Memory may be made to Northwoods Home Health & Hospice, AV Home Care, Senior Meals or ServiceLink Resource Center.
