John A. Rossetti, 89, of Worcester, passed away Friday, May 30th in the Jewish Healthcare Center with his family at his side. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Mary M. (Stavrou) Rossetti; a son, John A. Rossetti, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Worcester, and their children, Jonathan, Matthew and his wife Asjia, and David Rossetti; two daughters, Valerie M. Rossetti of Worcester and Vanessa G. Phethean and her husband Douglas of Worcester, and their children, Olivia and Christopher Phethean; two great grandchildren, Jaxon and Genevieve Rossetti; and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel Rossetti, Four brothers, Joseph, Frank, Salvatore, and Medio Rossetti, and two sisters, Amelia Bowling and Angelina Gallo.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Antonio and Rosalina (DiDomenico)Rossetti;and had worked as a brick mason for the Bricklayers Union for many years. Mr. Rossetti was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann Church and the East Side Improvement Club. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, serving aboard the U.S.S Naval Canberra as a radar man. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and Godchildren, Mary Ardan and Katherine Dodakian. He also enjoyed his weekly trips to Foxwoods with his wife.

The funeral is Tuesday, June 3rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St.Ann Church, 24 Mulberry Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, June 2nd from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
