Margaret A. "Peggy" (Sellinger) Griffiths, 76, passed away on April 26, 2014 in Canton, GA, after a long and courageous battle. Born and raised in Medford, she was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Cambridge. She was a loving wife to the late Andrew S. Griffiths and a loving and dedicated mother to Andrew, David and Julie.
She was a long time resident of Fairhaven, and a long time employee of the Old Rochester Regional School District. She lived the last ten years of her life in Canton, GA. She enjoyed many great long-term friendships.
She is survived by her son Andrew, and daughter–in-law, Libby, of Campton, NH, son David, of N. Canton, OH, and daughter Julie, of Panama City, FL. She is also survived by five grandchildren, whom she loved and adored, Meaghan of Sarasota, FL, Ian of Canton, GA, Sarah, of Minerva, OH, and Chloe and Samantha of N. Canton, OH.
Visiting hours will be held at Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett on Friday June 6th from 4-7 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in Fairhaven, MA on Saturday, June 7th at 11 AM. A private burial service will be in Riverside Cemetery.
