EDITH LEE ASHBY TURNER, 96, passed away Wednesday, May 28, at Summerfield Health and Rehab. Edith was born March 18, 1918, in Van Buren, Kentucky to the late Edgar Newman Ashby and Ruby Jane Milton Ashby. She was a member of Shively Church of Christ. She retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Co., where she met her future husband, Arvil Ray Turner. Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years and a son, David Lee Turner, her sisters Anna Catherine Haines and Martha Jane McKinney. She is survived by her three children: daughter, Barbara Ray Livingston, sons, Paul Newman Turner (Sandy) of Severna Park, Maryland, and Bernard Dale Turner of Ashland, Kentucky. Grandchildren: Jeffery Livingston (June), Gregory Livingston, Laura Warren (Mike), David Livingston (Diann), Leigh Ann Montoni (Dino), Alan Turner (Melissa), and Heather Brummett, and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, June 2 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, and Tuesday, 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
