Marjorie “Margie” Grant, 84 of Medford, died Tuesday May 27 after a long illness.
A lifelong resident of Medford she was a Small Claims Clerk for over 25 years with the Somerville District Court and retired in 1996.
Beloved wife of the late John J. Grant. Cherished daughter of the late Mary (Geoghegan) and Charles Murphy. Devoted mother of Cheryl Alpers and her husband Richard, Jack Grant and his wife Barbara, Margie Martignetti and her husband Johnny, Michele McGlynn and her husband Stephen all of Medford, Charlene Collins and her husband Mark of Shrewsbury. Loving grandmother of Ricky and Krystal Alpers, Louise Marie and Mark Pacheco, Jack IV, Chris and Colleen Grant, Ashley, Megan, and Grant Martignetti, Jonathan and Ashley Mercurio, Paige, Jolene and Colby McGlynn, Alicia, Shane, Casey and Jake Collins, Loving great grandmother of Addison and Teagan Alpers, Nolan Pacheco and the late Braiden Pacheco. Sister of Ann McCollum and her late husband Bob, Matthew Murphy and his wife Dorothy, Henrietta Donovan and her late husband Terry, Charles Murphy and his wife Phillie, and the late Michael Murphy and his wife Peggy. Daughter in law of the late John and Bridget Grant. Sister in law of Maureen Wojtkiewicz and her late husband John, Charlotte Grant and her late husband Eugene, the late Kathleen and John Gillis. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10:30 AM . Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 3-9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
