Dartmouth- Maria J. (eSilva) Amorim died Wednesday November 10, 2004 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth after a long illness. She was the wife of Antonio S. Amorim. She is survived by her two sons Antonio M. and his wife Catherine Rogers-Amorim of Dartmouth and John and Caroline Amorim of Eindhoven, Holland., 4 Grandchildren, Mark Amorin, Beth Tetreault Christopher Amorin and Diane Bust 6 Greatgrandchildren and 2 Brothers Joao eSilva and Manuel eSilva both of Sao Miguel Azores. She was the sister of the late Carlos eSilva, and Mother-in-Law of the late Joanne Amorim.
Mrs. Amorin was born in St. Michael, Azores. She was the daughter of Joao C. and Merces (Silva) eSilva She lived in this area since 1945. Mrs. Amorin had worked as a Cloth Trimmer at Colonial Textile.and Tims Sportswear, until her retirement.
Mrs. Amorim funeral will be Saturday November 13 at 8:45 AM from Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. and a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church Dartmouth at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, New Bedford, Ma. Visiting hours will be Friday November12, from 4 to 7 PM
