Wilfred J. Desmarais husband of the late Agnes (Cing-Mars) Desmarais died on May 21, 2014 in Pennsylvania at the age of 90. Wilfred was a resident of Apollo Beach, FL and Taunton, MA. Born and educated in Fall River, Wilfred was the son of the late Ovila and Rosanna (Gagnon) Desmarais. Wilfred was in the US Navy serving during WWII as a Storekeeper 1st class. He was a retired Office Manager for the former ICI-Dighton and was promoted to corporate offices in Stamford, CT and Willington, DE. He was the father of Suzanne Flaherty and her husband Joseph of Taunton and Apollo Beach,FL,David Desmarais of Myrtle Beach, SC, Peter Desmarais and his wife Gina of West Chester, PA, Cheryl Desmarais of Short Hills, NJ and the late Pamela Greenland. Grandfather of Brian Flaherty, Karen Ward, Stephanie Desmarais, Bridget Desmarais, Eric Desmarais, Adam Desmarais, Lauren Charette, Andrew Charette, Jonathan Charette, and Ben Greenland. Great grandfather of TJ Ward and Cailyn Ward. Brother of Paul Desmarais of Apollo Beach, FL and Leo Desmarais of FL. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Monday morning June 2nd from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton at 10 AM. Interment will be held at the Bourne National Cemetery at 2:45 PM.
