Obituary

NATICK: John W. Kaskon, age 78, of Cape Cod, formerly of Natick, died on Sunday morning, May 25, 2014 at Cape Cod Hospital.

Born, raised, and educated in Natick, Jack was the son of the late Benedict and Veronica (White) Kaskon. He entered the US Marine Corps in 1953 and served as a Corporal with the 1st Marine Division during the Korean War.

Jack married his former wife, the late Mildred “Dolly” (Kenney) in 1960 and the couple settled into a home in Natick where they raised their family. Employed for 37 years as a Distribution Manager for Star Market, Jack was working in the Norwood warehouse when he retired. Several years after his and Dolly’s marriage ended, he met his Soul mate and Partner Nancy Deneen. Together they moved to Cape Cod in 1987, where they lived happily for 23 years and raised their Granddaughter Chelsi. During that time he was employed with the Cape Cod Times in Hyannis for 15 years. Jack coached Pop Warner football in Natick and was an avid New England Patriots Fan.

Predeceased by Nancy in 2009, he is survived by his children, Terri Vinnicombe and her husband Kevin of Natick, Tammy Amoroso and her husband Albert of Lauderdale Lakes, FL, and John Kaskon, Jr. of Waterboro, ME; three grandchildren, Nicole Kelly, Jordyn Kaskon, and Braden Kaskon; two great-grandchildren, Haileyanna and Lajayceon White; His extended Family on Cape Cod, Brandi Aguiar and her husband David , who provided a loving home, Caring support and friendship, granddaughter Chelsi Blue and her fiancée Rodaine and great-grandchildren Dominic Blue-Klun and S’Miya Powell; his sisters, MaryEllen Bush and her husband Allen, Jean Tancrede and her companion Paul Graham, and Janet Truibiano and her husband Dino all of Natick, and many nieces and nephews.

A Private graveside service with military honors will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in South Natick.
