Catherine A. (D’Arpino) Lozzi, 85, of Whitman, passed away on Tuesday May 27th in the Signature Health Brockton Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Dennis C. Lozzi.
She was born and brought up in Italy, daughter of the late Roberto and Maria (Vicalvi) D’Arpino. Catherine also attended schools in Italy.
She has been a resident of Whitman for 67 years, where she was a homemaker, who loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and was an outstanding Italian cook and loved to cook for her family.
Catherine was also a stitcher for many years at the Brockton garment factories.
In addition to her husband Dennis, she is survived by her children, Dennis C. Lozzi, Jr. and his wife Karen of Halifax, Gerard Lozzi and his wife Deborah of Bridgewater and Maureen Bowen and her husband Wayne of East Bridgewater, her sisters Rose Cassiani of Brockton and Anna Capachione of GA., her grandchildren, Daniel, Pamela, Kristin, Jennifer, her great grandchildren Domenick, Anthony and Evan, also many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Jean Mancinelli.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday May 30th at 8:15 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte 58 @ the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Internment to follow in the St. James Cemetery, Harvard Street, Whitman. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 29th from 4:00-8:00PM
