Irene (Kaeton) Almeida, age 85, of Swansea passed away on Saturday May 25, 2014 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William R. Almeida and the daughter of the late Manuel and Diolinda (Correira) Kaeton. Irene was a seamstress for several clothing manufacturers in Fall River, a member of the ILGWU, and the Calvery Temple Assembly of God, enjoyed making puzzles, baking, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and a loyal friend.
She is survived by her loving children Doreen Hordern (husband Richard) of Swansea, and Dianne Lyman (husband Darren) of San Diego CA., and three grandchildren Bethany Scanlon, Kristen Hordern, and Chase Lyman. She was also the brother of the late Alfred, Charles, Joseph and David Kaeton.
Her services will take place at MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, MA. on THURSDAY at 9:00 A.M. with a service at 10:00 A.M. Internment at Oak Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on WEDNESDAY, from 4-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Calvery Temple Assembly of God 4321 North Main St., Fall River, MA 02720.
