GILLIES, Philip C. of Allston, formerly of Braintree, age 47, passed suddenly on May 18th. He was a graduate of Archbishop Williams HS and UMass Boston. Philip is survived by his father, Richard and his wife Linda of Sweet Valley, Pennsylvania; brother Andrew (Catherine Cahners) of Newton; sister Katherine Seaman (Fred) of Cambria, CA; and brother Christopher (Nancy) of Hammonton, NJ. In addition he leaves nieces Elisabeth, Samantha, and Kimberly and nephew Christopher, as well as grand-niece Tenley and grand-nephew Christopher. He also leaves behind many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Saran (Bruce) Gillies.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, June 13 at 4:00pm at the Mass Audubon Boston Nature Center, 500 Walk Hill St., Mattapan. Donations in his memory may be made to The Massachusetts Audubon Society or the Epilepsy Foundation of America.
