NORMAN BEAULIEU
UNCASVILLE- Norman Rene Beaulieu, age 75, of 280 Leffingwell Road, # 2, Uncasville, died Tuesday at Haven Health Center in Waterford where he had been a resident for the past three years.
Mr. Beaulieu was born in White Rock, RI on May 13, 1929 the son of Wilfred Francis and Marion Celeste (Dunbar) Beaulieu. Raised in the area, he attended local schools. He enjoyed a 37 year career at Electric Boat in Groton before retiring as a Furniture Mover in 1995.
He was married to Ella (Watson) Beaulieu in Mystic on August 4th, 1951. They celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary this year.
Known as a great conversationalist, he was extremely proud of his grandchildren and great-grandaughter, all of whom he enjoyed spending his spare time with. He was also was a bird watcher.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Valerie J. Viens of Lisbon, Norman R. Beaulieu Jr. of Lisbon; Diana Valero of Mystic, and James Beaulieu of Uncasville; three siblings, Robert, Margaret, and Delores, 4 grandchildren and a great-grandaughter. He was predeceased by a son, Allen J. Beaulieu in 1978 and a daughter, Bonnie Lee Beaulieu who died in 1983.
The family invites relatives and friends to join them for a Graveside Committal Service at Elm Grove Cemetery, Rte. 27, Mystic on Thursday, November 18th at 11am. The Rev. Doretta M. Colburn will officiate. There are no visiting hours.
