William J. Vendetti, 77, of Onset formerly of Norfolk and Franklin died May, 22 at his daughter’s home.
Born in Milford, February 2, 1937, the son of the late Anthony and Clare (McMorrow) Vendetti, Mr. Vendetti was raised in Spencer and Franklin and had lived in Norfolk for many years before moving to Onset.
Mr. Vendetti had worked for the Massachusetts Department of Public Works for over 20 years before retiring.
He had previously owned the Mirror Club in Wrentham for many years.
Mr. Vendetti served in the Army Reserves during the 1950’s.
He was a member of the Wareham Elks Club and the Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed reading, gardening; and being near the ocean, but his greatest love was being in the company of his granddaughters.
He is survived by his daughter Lisa Davis and her husband James and their daughters Elizabeth J. Davis and Katelyn C. Davis of Franklin.
He is also survived by his brother Thomas Vendetti of Kingston.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 27 in St. Mary’s Church Franklin at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
