O’BRIEN, Rosemary A. (Dunn) of South Harwich formerly of Dedham, May 20, 2014. She is survived by her husband John, her daughter Marianne and her partner Christine Carbin and their children Alan, Jacob, Lucas and Klare all of Holyoke and her son John of Jamaica Plain.
Rosemary was a graduate of Dedham High School and Catherine Laboure School of Nursing (1960). She was a member of the Massachusetts Nursing Association where she served on the Board of Directors and was active in Region 3. She was very involved in nursing issues particularly workplace violence and safe staffing.
She served as Executive Vice President of the Doric Docents - the volunteer tour guides at the State House. She was an officer on the Harwich Democratic Town Committee as well as the Cape and Islands Democratic Council.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Saturday, May 24 at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 9 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday, May 23 from 3-7 pm in the funeral home. Private interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
