William J. Ware, 56

William J. Ware, age 56, of Norton, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Norwood Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Margaret J. “Peggy” (Arena) Ware to whom he was wed on September 11, 1992.
Born in Norwood, MA on December 25, 1957, he was a loving son of the late William and Caroline (Schreiber) Ware.
Bill grew up in Dedham and was a 1976 graduate of Dedham High School. He had also attended automotive training school in Washington State.
Mr. Ware had worked in customer service, in the General Motors Parts Department for local automobile dealerships; which included for many years at Tom Chevrolet and Lance Motors, and most recently for the Mastria Auto Group.
A resident of Norton for the past 30 years, he had previously made his home in Dedham and along with his family was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton.
Bill’s family was the essence of his life, especially the joy he received from his granddaughters and was so very proud to have attended the recent college graduation of his youngest daughter.
When not spending time with his adoring family, Bill’s passion in life was cars of which he loved attending local car shows and meets.
He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and co-workers; which included throwing darts, shooting a good game of pool and entertaining others with his exceptional grilling skills.
In addition to his beloved wife Peggy, he is survived by his devoted daughters; Kendra M. Forbes and her husband David of Attleboro and Vanessa M. Ware of Norton. He was the dear brother of Carol “Susie”
Flajole and her husband Bob of Washington State, Linda Young and her husband Henry of Dedham and the late Jean Ware. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughters; Aliyah and Emily, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at 9:00 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 27th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Bill’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
