Thompson, Loretta F. (Jackey), 92, passed away peacefully at her home on May 19, 2014. Loretta was born April 6, 1922 to John and Mirtel Jackey in Louisville. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and was retired from J.R. Collins Cleaners, which she and her husband owned for 45 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Albert; brothers, Lawrence Jackey (Cardie) and Eddie Jackey (Deloris); and sister, Shirley Stankiewicz. Loretta is survived by son, Ron Thompson (Robin); grandson, Robbie Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Loretta will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
