Obituary

Beatrice (Daher) Howe, 93, of New Bedford died Tuesday May 20, 2014 at Alden Court Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Charles G. Howe.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva (Coury) Daher, she had lived in New Bedford for all of her life.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church.

Mrs. Howe was a member of the American-Lebanese Veterans Ladies Auxiliary.

She was a very selfless person who never wanted anything for herself, but just wanted to provide for her son and granddaughters who were her pride and joy.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Alden Court for the loving care given to Beatrice.

Survivors include her son, John Daher and his wife Maureen of Rochester; two granddaughters, Kristen and Megan Daher; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Josephine Roda, Mary Watkins, Margaret Sylvia, Sophie, George, Louis, Peter, Joseph, Thomas, and Eugene Daher.

Her Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM in Our Lady of Purgatory Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
