Obituary

Eileen Ryan (McNaught) of Middleboro, formerly of Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital of Plymouth. She was sixty-six years old.

Eileen was the beloved daughter of the late James and Maura (Clancy) McNaught. She is survived by her devoted husband Robert E. Ryan, her son Matthew Ryan, his wife Julie and kids Patrick and Coryn, her daughter Leslie Ryan Anderson, her husband Scott and their daughter Eileen, and her son Andrew Ryan. She was a loving, caring, and nurturing mother, sister, and friend.

Caring sister of James McNaught & his late wife Cynthia of Falmouth, Anne Andre’ & her husband Mario of Wareham, Gerard McNaught & his wife Judith of South Berwick, Maine, Robert McNaught & his wife Katherine of Franklin, TN & the late William McNaught. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Eileen served as chairperson of the Marshfield School Committee for many years. She was a longtime CCD teacher at St. Anne’s Parish in Marshfield, actively involved in Boy Scouts and an unforgettable Girl Scout Leader. Her impact on the town of Marshfield and the children she mentored will carry on for years to come.

Eileen was a dedicated nurse for over forty years. She was a nursing supervisor at top area hospitals, a substitute school nurse when needed, and was working in administration at a skilled nursing facility.

Eileen worked at one of the first kidney transplant centers in the country. She was passionate about caring for others throughout her life. Although she has passed, Eileen continues to care for others as an organ donor.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eileen’s memory may be made to the Home for Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115.

Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Thursday, May 22nd at 9:00AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00-7:00PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sherborn.
