Eileen J. "Ducky" Grondin, 63 a resident of Lawrence, died on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, Surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on December 27, 1950 to Laurence & Rita E. (Marchand) Grondin. She was educated in Sacred Heart Grammar School in South Lawrence, and a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in South Lawrence. She worked for many years for Massachusetts Rehab. in Lawrence. She loved and adored her grand children, loved her cats, music and according to her family she was very sociable and friendly towards strangers.
She leaves her longtime companion William F. Cavanaugh of Lawrence, and is survived by her children: Michael L. Grondin, Daniel P. and his wife Melissa L. Grondin, and Kelsey Grondin all of Lawrence, also two grand children: Kassidy & Kaelyn Grondin. Two sisters: Joyce McRobbie of Derry, NH and Marie McRobbie of Lawrence As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her sisters: Pauline Brown and Linda Grondin.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the funeral home at 7:00PM on Friday evening.
