Esther V. Leathers, 88, of Anderson died on May 18, 2014 at Community Northview following an extended illness.
She was born on April 23, 1926 in Anderson to Oscar and Georgia (Walley) Gerard. She was a 1944 graduate of Anderson High School.
She retired from Guide and Delco Remy in 1983 after 32 years as a relief operator.
She was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church. She was a member of GM Fellowship Club and UAW 662. She enjoyed traveling and reading.
Survivors include a sister, Martha (Dave) Mitchell; a brother, Kenneth (Wilma) Gerard all of Anderson; several loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Leathers; a son, Ricky J. Leathers;
A graveside service will be on Thursday, May 22, 2014 in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at 12:00 noon with Ned Clark officiating.
Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to Chesterfield Christian Church.
