Lee E. Morneweck
of Tewksbury

TEWKSBURY: Lee E. Morneweck, age 76, a resident of Tewksbury for 50 years, passed away at the Brigham & Women's Hospital on Friday, May 16, 2014.
He was the beloved husband of Joanne G. (Carota) Morneweck, who passed away on January 30, 2013.
Born in Greenville, Pennsylvania on November 8, 1937, he was the son of the late Raymond Lee Morneweck and Oramea (Hunt) Morneweck.
Lee was raised in Greenville, PA and graduated from Greenville High School.
Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War.
He and his late wife resided in Woburn until moving to Tewksbury in 1964.
Lee was employed for over 25 years as General Manager for Winco Inc. of Chelmsford. Following his retirement from Winco Inc., he worked for the Home Depot Company as a Plumbing Sales Associate.
He enjoyed tinkering in his barn, snowmobiling and camping.
Lee is survived by three children, Lynne L. Nutton and her husband Michael of Methuen, Chris P. Morneweck and his wife Catherine of Middleton and Richard A. Morneweck and his wife Lorena of Burlington; seven grandchildren, Sheena and Michael J. Nutton, Jr., Stephen Kennedy, Lauren, Emma, Kaitlyn and Christien Morneweck; one great granddaughter, Sophie Kennedy; one brother, Robert Morneweck and his wife Charlene of Greenville, PA .
Lee was the brother of the late Doreese Arner.
Calling hours Wednesday, May 21, from 2-6 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Immediately followed by a prayer service to be held in the funeral home.
