NATICK: Catherine L. (Flaherty) Fosberg 83, of Natick died Friday May 16, 2014 at her home.
She was the beloved wife of Edwin W Fosberg Jr., sharing 67 years of marriage.
A Natick resident for 70 years, she was born in Newton the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Griffin) Flaherty. Mrs. Fosberg was a devoted wife and mother and cherished the life she had with her family, especially her best friends, daughters Christine and Cathie.
I addition to her husband, she is survived by their children, Dennis Fosberg and his wife Mary Lou, Christine Lundblad, Cathie MacGregor and her husband Jason, and the late Cynthia Fosberg. Catherine and Edwin also raised Joseph Wagstaff of CA. She was the beloved grandmother to Dennis R Fosberg, George Towne, Derek Fosberg, Patrick Towne, Shannon O’Donnell, Jason MacGregor, Lorissa Coughlin, Leigh Tocio, Jill Guigli and the late Erik Lundblad. She was the great grandmother to 23 great-grandchildren including the late Julia Anne Fosberg. She also had one great great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister in law Rita Flaherty, brother in law s Charles Fosberg and his wife Norma, Paul Fosberg and his wife Marsha, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was the devoted sister to the late Mammie Griffin, Anne Howley, Margaret Hanna, Julie Hanna, Winnie Kaufman, Elizabeth Thorsen, John Flaherty, Robert Flaherty, Richard Flaherty, Thomas Flaherty, and sister in law of the late Robert Fosberg.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday May 20 at 10:30 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church at 11:30 A.M.
Visiting hours Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M
Interment St Patrick Cemetery.
