Robert J. “Bobby” Gaughan Jr. age 44 of Salem, NH, died Thursday at his home after being stricken with a heart attack.
He was born in Lowell, MA, grew up and was educated in Salem, NH, where he graduated from Salem High class of 1989.
Bobby worked for Comcast in Manchester, NH. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Salem, where he served as a Eucharistic minister. He was an avid New England sports fan, especially the Boston Bruins. He also enjoyed snowmobiling. Bobby would do anything for anyone and would always be there to help out. Most of all, Bobby loved fishing with his 2 children, and spending time with them. They were his life, his loves, and his pride and joys.
Bobby was predeceased by his niece Christina.
He is survived by his children: Brigette and Brody Gaughan of Salem

His mother: Suzanne and her husband Justin Barton of Rockford, AL
Sisters: Debbie and her husband Victor Capozzi, Donna and her husband Joe Redshaw, and Kim and her husband Mike Capozzi all of Salem, NH
Maternal Grandmother: Barbara Moore of Summerfield, FL
Nieces and Nephews: Christopher, Joey, Anthony, Sabrina, Mikey, and Emilee

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 20th at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, Salem. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
Calling hours will be Monday, May 19th from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a fund set up for Brigette and Brody, Checks should be made out to Debbie Capozzi and should be sent to Bank of America NH 2-148-01-01, 220 North Broadway Salem NH. 03079. In the memo they can write Brigette and Brody.
