Mary Gertrude (McNally) Hinkley, 84, of Londonderry, NH passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, Derry, NH. She was born in Brunswick, ME on June 29, 1929 a daughter of Clifford and Ruth (Miller) McNally. She was a graduate of Brunswick High School, Class of 1947. Following graduation, Mary was employed by W.T. Grant’s Store in Brunswick, ME. She was a homemaker and mother for many years living in Melrose, MA and Dover, NH. Then she moved to Londonderry, NH in 1964, where she worked in many jobs including H.E. Harris Stamp Factory, Rally Inc. (a boot factory in Derry), Cullers Fabric Shop and Bio-San Laboratories in Derry, retiring after 20 years in 2010. She had been a communicant of Londonderry United Methodist Church since 1964, holding many positions, such as Sunday School Teacher, Mission Committee and Usher for services until her illness this year.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Richard W. Hinkley, two daughters, Cindy Hinkley of Winthrop, ME and Susan Bradley of Londonderry, two nieces, Jane Robbins of Lewiston, ID and Belinda McNally of Henderson, NV, one nephew, Leon Michael McNally, also many other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by longtime family friends, Benjamin and Elizabeth Harrison and their children Patricia Razumney and her husband Richard, Lisa Burke and her husband
Gregg and William Harrison and his wife Susan, as well as their children. Mary was predeceased by her brother, John McNally earlier this year.
Following cremation, memorial visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 11:00am in the Londonderry United Methodist Church, corner of Mammoth and Pillsbury Roads, Londonderry.
