Gregory “Greg” J. Allard 42, of Franklin died May 16 in Milford Regional Medical Center following a courageous 10 year battle with multiple myeloma.
Born in Newton, June 3, 1971, the son of Joan (McWhirter) Allard of Franklin and the late Bruce R. Allard, Mr. Allard had lived in Watertown prior to moving to Franklin in 1981.
He was a graduate of Tri County High School and Quinsigamond Community College.
Mr. Allard had been a security systems administrator for Apollo Security for many years.
While at Tri County High School, Greg studied electricity and pursued an interest in it throughout his life.
Greg also enjoyed computers, working on cars and was also a locksmith.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his siblings, Matthew E. Allard and his wife Kerry of Milford, New Hampshire and their children, Katherine, Ella and Nicholas, Nathan G. Allard and his wife Heather of Belton, Texas and their children, Abigail and Charleigh and Susan D. Robbins and her husband Seth of Medfield and their son Sagan.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday May 20 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8.
