Kenneth J. Fitzemeyer, a 40 year resident of Melrose, entered into eternal life suddenly on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at his son's home in Lynnfield. He was 70 years old.
Kenneth was born in Revere on January 12, 1944, a son of the late George Fitzemeyer and Louise (Burridge) Fitzemeyer. He grew up in Revere where he was educated in the Revere Public School system. Kenneth worked as a Draftsman for General Electric Company for over 12 years and also worked as a Draftsman for Fitzemeyer & Tocci Heating & Ventilation Company for more than 15 years. Kenneth enjoyed collecting and working on antique cars, listening to 50's rock music and Elvis Presley. He also enjoyed cooking, gardening and remodeling with his son-in-law. Most of all in Kenneth's life was his grandchildren and their everyday activities that he cherished and the special moments he was able to share with each one of them.
Kenneth is the devoted father of Michael Fitzemeyer of Lynnfield and Wendy Florino and her husband Bob of Stoneham. He is the beloved former husband and dear friend of Iris (Jonath) Fitzemeyer. He is the loving Fitzy and Puppy to Michael, Talia, Cole, Liliana, Evan, Lola and Dominic. He is the beloved brother of Edward Fitzemeyer, Carol Waltman, Louis Fitzemeyer, Karen Panasuk and George Fitzemeyer. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kenneth's visiting hours on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 3 to 7 P.M. with his Funeral Service beginning at 6:30 P.M. in the Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Melrose. Burial is private.
