Fall River –Marlin E. Keefer, 70, of Portsmouth passed away May 8, 2014 at Charleton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA. He was the husband of Maria I. F. Gomes.
Mr. Keefer was born in Halifax, PA, son of the late Lester and Lillian (Lowe) Keefer, and resided in Portsmouth for the past 34 years. He was employed as an engineer by the Newport Naval Base until his retirement.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by 4 sons: Brian M. Keefer of Portsmouth, RI, Matthew E. Keefer of East Providence, RI, Eric S. Keefer of Portsmouth, RI and Andrew M. Keefer of Lakeville, MA; 2 brothers: Leon and Earl Keefer, both of Halifax, PA; a sister: Linda Mortorf of Halifax, PA; and several nieces & nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
