Emma (Agrella) Ferreira, age 101, of Somerset passed away peacefully on May 13, 2014 at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center. Born in Fall River but long time resident of Somerset, she was the loving wife of the late John C. Ferreira and daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Cruz) Agrella. Prior to retirement she worked as a supervisor at Fall River Knitting Mills and she was a member of Royal Travelers.
Emma leaves behind many nieces, nephews and godchildren; Richard Moniz Jr., Patricia Moniz, Gregory Moniz, Kendell Moniz-Amaral, Shannon Moniz, James Almeida Jr., Janice Goulart, Kenneth Agrella and William Agrella. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Ann Ferreira and her siblings Anna Almeida, William, George, Albert and Louis Agrella.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River SATURDAY at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 9 A.M. Interment in Nathan Slade Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours Friday 6-8 PM.
