Lillian R. (Huston) (Richard) Norman, age 94, of Brockton, died peacefully Sunday, May 11, 2014 at West Acres Nursing Home. Lillian was the wife of the late Eugene B. Norman and Charles T. Richard. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Bertha (Gleason) Huston. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1937 and graduated from New England Peabody Home for Crippled Children, Newton Centre, Class of 1941. For many years she had been employed as a teller at the Montello branch of Plymouth-Home National Bank. Later she was employed by the Bridgewater Cooperative Bank. Lillian was a volunteer at Goddard Hospital in Stoughton and longtime parishioner of the Central Methodist Church in Brockton. Lillian enjoyed reading and spending time with friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Christine Richard of Middleboro; the Woodward family of Easton; and a special niece Jean O’Brien of Hanson. She was the aunt of Carole Rae Evans of Las Vegas, Ernest M. Huston Jr. and his wife Mary of Brockton, Charles Honold and Nancy Barry of New York and Denise Ellis of Alabama. Lillian was the mother of the late Susan Richard; sister of the late Ernest, Bradford and Robert Huston and Helen Thayer and niece of the late Lucy Woodward.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 10-11:30am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
